Excellent blank CDs with a lower than generic price!

These CDs are perfect for my audio/video/data needs. They performed way better than "generic" brand CDRs and with an even lower price! (Just $0.10 each) The cheapest CDRs I got before were about $0.12 cents each but they flake off easily and sometimes resulted in coasters. With these... so far, so good! I hope they stock up again soon... and I hope they keep the same low price of $4.99 for a pack of 50!

Basic, but fine....

First of all, I bought them, and the guys who claim that a fingernail will scratch off the surface are full of it. I just tried it, scratching as hard as I could, and couldn't make a dent.

These are basic discs that work just fine, and they're FREE after rebate, for God's sake -- what do you want? As for the idea that they won't be readable after a few years -- don't rely on ANY cd media to be readable after a few years! This format is NOT BUILT FOR DURABILITY, REGARDLESS OF MANUFACTURER!

Yes, you will do better buying Taiyo Yuden cdrs at 50 cents a piece, but even those are dye based and will fade. And I much prefer that these media don't have a lame logo stamped on the top; it means that they look like real cds, and give you the full area to write on if you like. The fact that you can't tell which side is which is a SELLING POINT -- it means they look REAL. (Doesn't every idiot know the writable side is face-down on the spindle?)

No, don't use these for your priceless data (but don't use ANY cdr for that!), but backup your music on them and laugh all the way to the bank.

Not Long lasting

The silver coating can go off very easily. So will not be good for long term storage.
Out of the package, some of the cds were sticking together. And the silver coating started coming out on one of them.

Probably will work if i can get some kind of a sticker to cover the top. Don't know if there is something like that in the market

Another reviewer noted that they are advertised as such. Its true. So incase you want a set of cheap cdr for a short term usage or temporary storage, it might be a good buy.
