Mac Compatible |
| Incase anyone wanted to know, the camera comes with Kodak Software for the Mac, but if your using OS X with iPhoto, it will detect the camera, import the photos and allow you to edit, print and email as usual. Currently using Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger) with iLife '05 but i expect it will work fine with iLife 04 as well. Picture quality is very good, easy to use. Not much else to be said that hasn't already been said. Hope this helps. |

Very Good Camera |
I love this camera! It's inexpensive, takes good pictures, and has great battery life. And I love the video feature! I did wish it came with more memory, though. But I guess all digital cameras only come with 16MB.
The camera is very easy to use. I haven't had any problems with it yet! |

Great beginner digital camera! |
| My husband got me this camera as a Christmas present. I had been reluctant to go digital...mainly because my friend's digital pictures always look so grainy and horrible. The pictures from this camera are anything but horrible! I am so pleased with the quality of the prints, and e-mailing photos is a snap! So far, I've mostly used the Auto function and the optical zoom. I have not tried the video function or the other scene settings. I print the photos on a Cannon Pixma6000ID printer with Cannon photo paper. I've printed them after downloading them to the PC and I've printed them by inserting the memory card into the printer. The results are the same either way. I can't tell the difference between those 4x6 prints and 4x6 prints from my Nikon 35mm. I've also printed a few larger prints and I really don't see much difference in the quality of those either. The Kodak software is fine for downloading, light editing, e-mailing or printing photos. I purchased a 64MB SD card for it and it stores about 65-70 pictures. I would definitely recommend getting rechargable batteries for it. The battery door and the memory card door look a little flimsy, but in all, the camera seems well-made. I like the fact that it is very compact and I especially like that it has a lense cover. I enjoy the instant gratification of being able to see my pictures as soon as I take them rather than waiting to have film developed. Also, it eliminates wasted film and photos since you can delete the bloopers before printing them! Overall, it seems to be a great camera for my family. |
