Alright, let's start off simple:
These are Monster's brand of ethernet cables; they include XLN to minimize static and improve speed. Now, for many, you may not know what XLN does, but If you're a PS2 owner like me and you have your Network Adapter's internet connection running behind the TV, you knotice that it connects slow than it should. XLN stops this by sheilding the wiring from the static. My connection speed went from 456k to 640k because of this.Need more proof that I'm not BSing? Take a pair of headphones, put them in your ears, then rub the cord against a statically charged object. Get these in tandem with the Monster RJ11 phone cables. You won't regret it. |

| Does this cable work... Yes. Does it work well... Yes. But, it's pointless. You will get the same speed out of a cheaper cable. Plus, you are likely plugging this into a wall where it will travel another 50 feet on normal cable. Regardless, it is just pointless. Unless you have money to burn don't buy it. If you want real speed, spend some real money and upgrade to 1Gbps hubs (still pointless for most users anyway). |

Why pay more? |
| You can save some money and buy generic CAT5 and get the same results. Monster Cable is excellent for connecting high quality speakers to high quality hi-fi equipment but this is a bit overkill. It will work but is it really worth it? |
